Product Description

It is designed to store oral swabs, saliva, throat swabs and other samples at room temperature, which is convenient for transportation. It can ensure the integrity of the sample nucleic acid and meet the needs of various molecular biology experiments such as subsequent chip hybridization and PCR.

Product Features

This product provides a safer condition for collecting, transferring and preserving sample. Guanidine salt and RNA/DNA protectant are added into the solution, making the virus inactive and protecting released RNA/DNA from degradation by RNase or DNase. But it doesn’t affect the integrity of the viral nucleic acid.

Safety: Inactivated viruses like coronavirus, influenza virus etc.

Convenience: Storage and transportation can be conducted under room temperature.

Preservation: Keep viral nucleic acid from degradation within 30 days at 2~8℃.

Storage

This product is valid for 12 months under dry conditions at room temperature (20～25℃).  Please refer to the package for batch number of the product.

Instruction for Use

1. Take out the flocked swab and get sampling with it from right body parts.

2. Remove the tube cap, put the swab into the transport medium.

3. Bend the swab at a 180 degrees angel to break at the appropriate point.

4. Tighten the cap, shake it several times and complete the sampling

Specimens should be transported to the laboratory within 72 hours.

Cautions

1. When collecting and handling specimens, gloves, protective clothing, goggles and other personal protective equipment shall be worn to avoid splashing, leakage and exposure of potential pathogens.

2. All bio-hazardous specimens and devices shall be disposed in accordance with the relevant regulations and procedures and discarded in the designated collection containers.

3. This product is only used for storage after sample collection and during in vitro transportation, it is only for one-time use and does not have the culture function. Any damaged package is forbidden to use.

4. After use, the waste shall be disposed according to the regulations of the hospital or the environmental protection department.

5. Read Instruction for Use on this packing carefully before use, and use it within the validity period.

6. Warning: It is forbidden to use when package damage, foreign matters, leakage, storage liquid turbidity and expiration date are found.
